Nutrisens announces the acquisition of Vitasyn Medical GmbH

Nutrisens Group strengthens its position as a major independent European platform in clinical nutrition with the acquisition of Vitasyn Medical GmbH, a German specialist focusing on nephrology and oncology.

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Berlin, Germany, Vitasyn Medical operates on the German market and offers oral and enteral products for patients suffering from renal failure and end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis treatment, as well as for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Vitasyn Medical deals directly with pharmacies, hospitals, dialysis centres or homecare units and supports private individuals as well via the e-commerce channel.

With this acquisition, Nutrisens is pursuing its European expansion, setting up a subsidiary in Germany (alongside those in France, Spain, Italy and Portugal). The Group will also benefit from Vitasyn Medical’s expertise in renal and oncology areas reinforcing the multi-niche pathologies capabilities of the Group.

Nutrisens’ acquisition of Vitasyn Medical will give its local management the strategic resources to pursue its organic development by taking advantage of Nutrisens’ broader product portfolio and production capacity.
