André Morrissette has been a commercial and tax lawyer for over 30 years, specializing in asset protection, managing complex taxation and governance issues, and providing strategic advising and counsel on mergers and acquisitions for business owners. André began his career providing legal counsel to family-owned companies, corporate executives, emerging tech firms, and mid-sized corporations.
One of the founding members of BCF, André has played a significant role in building the firm, serving as both Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner. He has become a respected figure in the Quebec business community, leveraging his leadership to guide the firm’s strategic direction and growth. He has provided strategic advising on numerous high-stakes M&A transactions, helping clients navigate the complexities of corporate restructuring and expansion. In 2017, he was named Advocatus Emeritus (Ad. E.) by the Barreau du Québec (Quebec Bar), recognizing his exceptional contributions to the legal profession.
André serves on the boards of several private companies and charitable organizations, where his expertise in legal matters, strategic advising, and M&A is highly valued. He holds a Civil Law degree from the University of Montreal and is currently Vice Chair, Quebec, of Sagard.
