Jonathan Tétrault has served as Managing Partner of Sagard since 2020. Jonathan is a member of the Management Committee and leads the firm’s corporate development activities as well as the development of its ecosystem of LPs, co-investors, partners and advisors. He is also responsible for overseeing the Value Creation team supporting Sagard’s portfolio companies. He is based in Montreal, Canada.
Prior to Sagard, Jonathan served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, where he oversaw the operations and corporate development activities of the group globally. Prior to joining Cirque du Soleil, he spent 14 years at McKinsey & Company, where he was a Senior Partner. At McKinsey & Company, he co-led the Global Institutional Investors Practice, led the Canadian Financial Services practice and acted as Managing Partner of the Montreal office. He advised institutional investors, private equity firms, asset management firms and banks on a broad range of strategic and investment matters in more than 25 countries.
Jonathan holds an MBA from Oxford University, an LL.B. from the Université de Montréal and a CEP from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris. He is a member of the Barreau du Québec and serves on several boards, including those of the C.D. Howe Institute, the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, the international One Drop Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal.
