Patrick Daignault has served as Partner at Sagard and a member of the Sagard Private Equity Canada team since joining in 2021, alongside Marie-Claude Boisvert. Patrick is responsible for originating, structuring, investing, and portfolio company management with a specific focus on Business and Financial Services verticals. He is a member of the Sagard Private Equity Canada investment committee and is based in Montreal.
Prior to Sagard, Patrick was a Senior Director at PSP Investments in the Montreal Direct Private Equity team where he oversaw the team’s activities in Business and Financial Services. While at PSP, Patrick served on the boards of Advisor Group, Learning Care, Cerba Healthcare and SitusAMC. Before joining PSP, Patrick was based in London for over 10 years. His final role in London was as Director for Ardian’s Private Debt team. Patrick started his career In Leveraged Finance at CIBC and Barclays.
Patrick is also a board member of the alumni association for his college alma mater.
Patrick holds a B.Comm. from McGill University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
